How to add a menu to your Facebook Page – Video

Do you run a restaurant? Would you like to learn how to add a menu to your Facebook Page to display your restaurant’s menu to customers? 

Currently, there are a number of landing page tools such as Shortstack, or Tabsite that you can use to add a menu to your Facebook Page.

If you don’t want to use another tool, Facebook now let’s restaurants and cafes include a menu on their Facebook Page without using any extra tools.

To add a menu to your restaurant’s Facebook Page, follow these instructions.

How to add a menu to your facebook page

SinglePlatform users

If you are an existing SinglePlatform user, Facebook will automatically add your menu to your Facebook Page.

Outside the United States or Canada or not a SinglePlatform user

If you are not using SinglePlatform or you are outside of the United States or Canada, here’s how to add a menu to your Facebook Page.

1. Select Local Business > Restaurant/Cafe as your page’s category

2. At the top of your Page, click Edit Page

3. Select Update Page Info

4. Click Menu and upload a PDF file of your menu

5. Click Save Changes

Note: Once you have added a menu to your Facebook Page, if you need to make edits, you will need to upload a new version again.

One other important thing about adding a menu, your menu will only be visible on the mobile version of your Facebook Page.

SinglePlatform vs. Facebook landing page tools, which is better?

Now that you have learned how to add a menu to your Facebook Page, which tool should you use?

If you are in the United States, you can add your menu directly to your page through the settings menu.

Personally, I use Shortstack because they let you create different types of landing pages, not just one’s for adding a menu.

This is an interesting development for Facebook Pages.

Just a few months ago, we discussed if Facebook would keep landing page tabs around. Ultimately, they did.

Will this be the demise of companies like Shortstack, Tabsite, or Antavo in the near future or will we see Facebook add in more functionality to Facebook Pages?
