Do you want to restrict people from commenting on your Facebook Page? While it’s not obvious, you can disable Facebook comments.

No settings, no problem

While there doesn’t seem to be a way to disable Facebook comments, it can be done in just a few steps. You just have to know where to look.

Instead of wandering around through the settings menu, we’ve compiled a list of instructions to help you disable Facebook comments.

Note: this works for Facebook Pages and needs to be setup on the desktop version of Facebook.

How to disable Facebook comments on a Facebook Page

Step 1: Download the following list of keywords.

Step 2: Go to your Facebook Page

Step 3: Click on Edit Page > Update page info.

Step 4: Under Settings > Page moderation, select Edit

Within the page moderation tool, copy and paste the list of keywords that you downloaded into the Page Moderation section. Hit save.

Now when someone goes to leave a comment on your Facebook Page, all comments will be blocked.

To view comments on a post, simply click the … and you will be able to see all of the disabled Facebook comments.

Although it isn’t very obvious to disable Facebook comments, it gets the job done quickly.

For those of you who want to go a step further, you can also block Facebook Pages completely.

This won’t allow another page to interact with your Facebook Page.
