A lot of people have the misconception that it is difficult to use your Facebook Profile for business. While you’re not supposed to run your business from a Facebook Profile, you can leverage your profile to promote your Facebook Page.

There are a number of ways you can do this. For example, you can like your own Facebook Page and share updates from your news feed on your profile.

This will help let your friends and followers learn about your Facebook Page through the content that you share.

While this is a great way to grow your engagement, you can’t do this until you get people to like your Facebook Page.

The solution

There are two ways that you can feature your Facebook Page on your Facebook Profile. We’re going to start with the easier one. To link your Facebook Page to your Facebook Profile, follow these steps.

Option 1: Featured page owner

Step 1: Visit your Facebook Page Step 2: Click on Edit Page > Update Page Info Step 3: Select More… > Featured

Step 4: Select Add featured page owner

Here you can feature different Facebook Page administrators. Remember, when you add a featured page owner, it does two things.

  • Their personal information will be publicly displayed in the About section of your Facebook Page
  • This Page will be shown on their personal profile

After you feature a Facebook page owner, the Facebook Page is featured on their Facebook Profile under the About section.

Option 2: Adding a Facebook Page as your employer

For those of you who don’t want to feature your Facebook Page owners, yet still want to display your Facebook Page on your Facebook Profile, here is what you need to do.

Step 1: Like your own Facebook Page

Step 2: On your Facebook Profile, click on the About section

Step 3: Under Work and Education, click “edit”

Step 4: Add a new place of work and type your Facebook Page

Step 5: Select done editing

Now when your friends or followers look at your Facebook Profile, under the About section, they will see your Facebook Page.

This will allow them to immediately like and connect with your Facebook Page.
