How to use Facebook Page Call to Action buttons
Would you like to drive fans on your Facebook Page to take a specific action?

For example, to sign-up for your email newsletter, book an appointment, or shop on your website?

What if you could include specific call to action buttons on your Facebook Page to help reach your overall business goals?

Instead of burying a link to your website in your cover photo, relying on users to click into your photo, Facebook rolled out a way to do this on Facebook Pages with Facebook Page call to action buttons.

This article is going to teach you how to use Facebook Page Call to Action Buttons.

What are Facebook Page Call to Action buttons?

Call to action buttons are a way to specify a single action for your Facebook fans (page likes) to take from your timeline cover photo.

Call to action to sign-up
You can use Facebook Page Call to Action buttons to drive email newsletter sign-ups

Depending on what action you want your fans to take, you can choose to have a button appear on your page that when clicked, keeps a user inside of Facebook.

Alternatively, you can also send users off of Facebook to your website or anywhere you like.

You can even use the new Facebook Page call to action buttons with a landing page for a more complete solution.

According to Facebook:

Page admins can select from a group of call-to-action buttons — like Shop Now or Sign Up — to add to the top of their Page.

Types of call to action buttons

There are seven types of call to action buttons you can select from.

  1. Book Now – coaching or booking appointments
  2. Contact Us – provide a way for fans to contact you quickly
  3. Use App – drive fans to download your app
  4. Play Game – direct fans to your app or even a contest
  5. Shop Now – drive traffic to your online store
  6. Sign Up – grow your email list
  7. Watch Video – drive fans to a welcome video

I’ve had the chance to use the new Facebook Page Call to Action buttons and they’re amazing!

How to unblock Facebook Pages and rebuild the relationship with a brand

Was there a Facebook Page you blocked because they were posting too much?

Maybe they were spamming your Facebook Page with unnecessary comments.

The good news is that if you ever have a change of heart, you can unblock Facebook Pages.

In this article you’ll learn how to unblock Facebook Pages so you can start interacting with a Facebook Page again through the news feed, wall posts, comments, and messages.

Why unblock a Facebook Page?

A lot of times, we block Facebook Pages because we are receiving unwanted comments, messages, or wall posts.

For some pages, you absolutely need to block them because they are out to cause your page harm.

This can include:

  • Spamming your page with unnecessary links
  • Posting inappropriate comments
  • Sending too many messages

Other times, you may come across a situation where you need to temporarily block a Facebook Page.

This typically happens if you have a page that may not understand the rules of engagement on Facebook.

If this happens, you may want to temporarily block them and then reach out to the owner of the page through their Facebook Profile.

This way you can go over the situation with them and in most cases, give them a warning.

A good way to do this is to let them know while you appreciate their interactions on your Facebook Page, you will unblock them if they tone things down.

I recommend setting the expectations for them and provide examples of what you would like them to tone down.

This way you can feel comfortable knowing they know what they need to do in order for you to unblock their Facebook Page.

If you have reached this point with a Facebook Page where you want to unblock them, follow these instructions.
